We are very grateful to announce a new partner in our ongoing efforts to help feral cat feeders with food for their colonies as well as pet food for veterans at Mather Veterans Village and low-income seniors on the Meals on Wheels program. The Grocery Outlet store at 2801 Zinfandel (near Folsom and Zinfandel) contacted us in May seeking a partner to donate expired cat food. Since then, they have donated dry cat food and even some wet dog food for veterans needing help feeding their dogs.
We would love our supporters to show their appreciation for this generous new relationship. If you stop by the store – where you will find great prices, a changing inventory and lots of organics – please extend thanks to new owner Mike or manager Kimberly. Also, seniors note, on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, you get 10% off your bill from 7 am till noon.
While we are at it, let us not forget our long-term partnership with the Pet Club at 2344 Sunrise Blvd, Rancho Cordova, and at 318 N. Sunrise Blvd, Roseville. Pet Club has been a partner since 2016 and 2018 respectively and when you walk into the stores, you can see the Whisker Warriors donation bin. Aside from enabling pet food donations, Pet Club routinely provides us with broken bags of dog and cat food, litter, and expired pet food. We do not have to tell you about great prices at Pet Club, something to consider in these inflationary times.
We are always looking for more partners, including businesses that would help us with a pet food drive. We provide the donation barrels and fliers. All a business has to do is set it in a high-traffic area for visibility. Our pet food drives garner us a lot of supplies and they create good will for our participating partner.
